Frequently Asked Questions

This section offers further detail for those who would like it. You are not required to read everything here before deciding.

  • Is this counselling?

This work is informed by my training and experience as a counsellor, but it is not offered as counselling or psychotherapy.

Sessions are structured, time limited, and focused on understanding relational patterns in female friendship, rather than on clinical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of mental health conditions.

  • Will I be talking about my past friendships in detail?

We will speak about your experiences where they help us recognise patterns. The focus is not on retelling every story, but on understanding how your system learned to relate and what it still believes is required to belong.

If you are seeking extended emotional processing or venting, this work may not be the right fit.

  • How do I know whether to choose the three or six session pathway?

The three session container is often enough if you are seeking clarity, language, and insight into recurring friendship patterns.

The six session pathway may be more supportive if your experiences feel longstanding, emotionally activating, or connected to earlier relational imprints.

You are not expected to decide alone. This can be clarified through a short orientation conversation or may emerge naturally as the work unfolds.

  • Is this work only for women in active friendship conflict?

No. This work is equally supportive for women who feel withdrawn, cautious, or disconnected from friendship, as well as those navigating rupture, loss, or confusion.

  • What is expected of me between sessions?

You may be invited to complete gentle reflection exercises or to notice relational patterns as they arise in daily life.

This work is collaborative. Your willingness to reflect, rather than simply recount, is essential.

  • When this work may not be the right fit

This work is designed for women who are resourced enough to engage in reflective, pattern based exploration within a structured, time limited container.

It may not be the right fit at this time if you are:

• experiencing acute emotional distress or crisis

• seeking ongoing counselling or therapeutic treatment

• navigating active trauma responses that make reflection difficult

• looking primarily for emotional release or extended venting

• focused on changing or fixing another person rather than exploring your own relational responses

If any of these resonate, it does not mean there is something wrong with you. It may simply mean that this container is not the right support at this moment.

  • How are the sessions held?

All sessions take place online via Zoom.

You'll receive your Zoom link after booking, along with everything you need to prepare for your first session.

  • How long is each session?

Each session runs for 60 minutes.

  • What happens if I need to reschedule?

Life happens. If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are charged in full.

  • How far apart are sessions?

Most women meet every two to three weeks, allowing time for reflection and integration between sessions.

There is flexibility depending on your circumstances.

  • Is everything confidential?

Yes.

Everything shared during our sessions is treated with respect and confidentiality, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious concern for someone's safety.

  • Do you offer payment plans?

Yes.

If spreading the investment over time would make this work more accessible, I'm happy to discuss a payment plan with you.

The aim is to make thoughtful, meaningful support available while keeping the process simple and manageable for both of us.

We can explore the options during your Orientation Call.

  • Can I continue after my package finishes?

Occasionally, a woman may wish to continue exploring a particular area in more depth. If that feels appropriate, we can discuss additional sessions together once your pathway is complete.
