Six Week Spiral - Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an age requirement for the Six Week Spiral?

The Six Week Spiral is currently open to women aged 18 and over.

I recognise that many younger women and girls are also navigating complex experiences within friendship. Mothers and carers may find this work helpful in understanding their own relational patterns and supporting more open conversations with their daughters.

Is this right for me if I'm not sure I want to share in a group?

Yes. Sharing is always optional. Listening and witnessing are considered full participation. Many women join because they want to understand their relational patterns without needing to speak about their own experiences.

Do I need to have a specific friendship issue I'm working through?

No. This spiral is about understanding the patterns that shape friendship rather than resolving a particular situation. You are welcome whether you are navigating a current challenge or simply curious about how you relate to other women.

What if I don't seem to fit into one relational archetype?

Most women recognise themselves in more than one archetype. While one pattern often feels most familiar, we are all shaped by many experiences and our ways of relating can change over time. The archetypes are not labels or personality types. They are simply gentle maps that help us notice patterns with greater clarity and compassion.

Is this only for women who are struggling with friendship?

Not at all. Some women arrive during a difficult season, while others simply want a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. This work is just as much about strengthening future friendships as it is about making sense of past experiences.

Will I be expected to talk about personal or painful experiences?

No. You are always invited, never expected, to share personal experiences. You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you. Many women discover that simply listening, reflecting, and noticing their own responses is deeply valuable.

Is this therapy or group counselling?

No. This is an educational and reflective group experience. While many women find it deeply supportive, it is not therapy and does not replace professional mental health care.

What if I feel emotional during the process?

This work invites honest reflection, and at times it may stir unexpected emotions. We move at a gentle pace, with an emphasis on nervous system awareness, choice, and self compassion. You are encouraged to care for yourself in ways that feel supportive, including seeking additional personal or professional support outside the group if needed.

How many women will be in the group?

Each cohort will be capped at 30 women with small break-out groups for sharing and reflection.

What if I can't attend all six sessions live?

Live attendance is encouraged, but not essential. Each session will be recorded so you can revisit the material or engage in your own time if you need to miss a week.

Will there be reflections or practices between sessions?

Yes. Each week includes gentle reflections and optional practices to help you notice the themes in your own relational life. These are invitations rather than homework, allowing you to engage at a pace that feels right for you.

What happens after the six weeks end?

The aim is not to provide all the answers, but to offer a clearer map of your relational world. Many women leave with greater self understanding, more compassion for themselves and others, and a shared language they continue to draw upon long after the spiral has finished.

Why is this called a Spiral rather than a course?

This is not a course designed to teach a fixed set of skills or offer quick solutions. A spiral reflects a different way of learning. We return to familiar experiences from new perspectives, gradually deepening understanding over time. Rather than moving in a straight line towards an answer, we circle gently towards greater clarity, compassion, and self awareness.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. A two instalment payment plan is available on request. Please contact Kate via email before registering.

How do I know if I'm ready?

You don't need to feel completely certain before you begin. If something in this work feels familiar, meaningful, or gently calls your attention, that is often enough. This spiral is designed to meet you where you are, not where you think you should be.
